Hello! No updates as of late, I am embarassed! Well as many of you know I have kind of been out of comission due to my freak accident that I have imposed upon myself. Yea, I broke my own ankle, lol. But the good new is...this coming Tuesday I will be FREE!! FREE of the damn knee boot/cast! I honestly can't wait, I haven't been online as much as I'd like and it shows. I have serious updates to do and ah yes the beloved store is seriously lacking. Thanks for being so patient with me and many thanks for all the well wishes! It really makes a gal feel loved ^_^ I actually posted a new image on my blog, it's a pinup for an upcoming pin-up book for Acid Pop Tart! Her name is Voo Doo Baby and she was absolutely delicous to paint! Check her out and if you may have noticed, you have to get your comments approved now :( Unfortunately I keep getting some annoying spammers that have been posting links that are harmful to your computer. People suck don't they? But not you ;) Talk to you soon!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on here for a little while...but some of you may heard a rumor going around that I broke my ankle. Unfortantely that rumor is true! Not to be the bearer of bad news, but this means all appearance that I had committed to for the month of April is cancelled. :( Not too happy about it, but health comes first! A few of you emailed me about Philly Wizard World, if I was going to be there. I won't be setting up this year, but I will be walking around that weekend checking things out. ;) Which brings me to...
It seems the only show that is going to be on my list for this year is the CGS Supershow in September! I will post more information on it later... Happy Saturday guys and gals!

Ok, this sucks big time. I broke my ankle this past Tuesday and will not be able to appear at the Wild Pig Sale!! Long story short, I fell and landed on my right ankle. Fractured my fibula (outer ankle bone) and don't even have a cast at the moment. I am wearing a temporary splint which means I feel PAIN when I bump into things. Yes I am not very graceful on crutches needles to say. BUT this shouldn't be a reason why you should not go to Wild Pig 29 hour sale!! Show them your support, buy some sweet stuff, and check out the super uber cool artist that are there!! Have fun guys!!!

Next Saturday/Sunday I will be at Wild Pig 24 Hour Comic Sale! Besides working on my comic pages, I will be taking commissions in the store as well! For the event I will be doing $10 sketches! Woot!

In case you didn't know, I am going to be appearing at the Wild Pig Store for 24 Hour Comic Day! They are having their huge annual 50% off sale! Everything will be 50% off! Besides all the great merch that will be available, myself and other fantastic artists will be illustrating 24 comic pages in 24 hours! I know what you are saying, 24 pages in 24 hours? Okay I know this is last minute, and I suck at doing blogs at times, but this is really important! People close to me know my passion for designer vinyl toys . There is this really cool shop in Smithville, called "the Artist's Eye". They feature really cool stuff, original art, prints, and designer vinyl. They are also having their first custom baxbear show tomorrow! Why am I discussing this? Quite simple, I am showcasing a custom Baxbear! While I can't show you the finished piece at this moment, you can see it if you haul your ass down to Historical Smithville at 8p.m. Just show up, I will be there plus with other amazing artist. Hmmm it's love week! Funny how things sneak up on you like that, heh. Figured now would be ok to say that I have officially jumped back on "The Key"! I am working on issue #2, and things are going smoothly so far. If all goes well, I will have the second issue completed by the beginning of March! All new art, and a spectacular back cover done by Amano Jyaku, which I will be giving a sneak peak soon on here. ;) IHopefully I will be able to display some more of the artsy goodness I have been working on soon. Then you will see that I haven't been a complete couch potato, lol. ;)
Plus! The new store will be going live sometime this upcoming weekend, wheeee!

Hey all! I finally updated my "Appearances" listing over to the right! This year you may notice that my show schedule so far is for the Wild Pig Sale and the Pittsburgh Comicon. More will be added as the year moves on ;) Meanwhile, I have recently jumped back onto working on "The Key"! Yay! I am hoping to shoot for a more timely schedule with the rest of the issues. I am working on issue 2 right now, and I am shooting to have it done for Pittsburgh. After that, hopefully the third issue will be available in June/July sometime. I am determined to do this, so thanks to everyone that had stuck with me so far. You're great!
I have been working on some other projects that I can't quite talk about as of yet. But when I can, you will be the first to know! 2008 promises to be an exciting year, can't wait!

In case you didn't know, I have a couple of contests running as we speak. One of the contest, all you simply have to do is enter you name and email

The other is a wee bit more involved. But the prize is a bit more grand. If you are feeling the holiday season you will want to participate believe you and me. This is one you will not want to miss. I will illustrate on ONE 16 x 20 ( i believe those are the correct dimensions) strathmore art board a character/2characters of your choice with minimal background on this board. This is going to be a full blown illustration. All you have to do is send me a Holiday card/postcard to me at Erica Hesse, po box 28, egg harbor city, nj , 08215 . Please include your name , address, and email address. Only one card will be drawn. Why am I doing this? Cause I love holiday cards ! Ok, the one question that everyone has been asking about, and I have been dreading answering. The comic, "The Key". Due to unfortunate situations as of right now, it is delayed right now until my freelance jobs are freed up. Unfortunately, I have to take on jobs that pays the bills first, so that means my comic kinds of get pushed to the wayside. So at this rate it looks like I am doing one comic a year! Hopefully that is not so. I will keep you guys updated on it. It has been hard on me. I wanted so bad to have the second issue done before the new year but right now it is not going to happen. But I will keep you updated on it. Thanks for understanding.

Finally! The new site is up! After all this time, I finally had a chance to overhaul my website and come up with a brand new one. Well, I didn't really have a chance...I kind of just said to myself, "Enough is enough" and just sat down and got to it. So here it is! Check it out and let me know what you think. I know there maybe bugs here and there, so please be patient as I work them out. So as you are looking around and you come across something odd, or any broken links please let me know. (especially you PC people) This would help me out a lot. Plus this site is still in the process of being updated, so please bear with me as I update them throughout the week.
Meanwhile, check out the new layout, and overall look. I think it looks pretty spiffy myself, especially compared to the dull blahhhhh white one I had, heh. Some things are the same, some are new. For example this time around, I added a blog so I can update news more frequently (yay!) and get posts! Actually I am very excited about this part of my site, being able to communicate with everybody. I really didn't want a message board, so I thought this would be perfect ! So yea check it out, I am officially now a blog girl, mwah!
So with the new site, is a couple new announcements. It has been a long time since I have had one, so I decided not one, but TWO contests! That's right, two contests. Call me crazy, but I remember having fun with the last one I had. To check em' out go to my blog for the info.
